Kaemon sat on the street playing his sitar for the crowd of people. "Not a single coin today, it's not like they're the ones sitting here begging for some money in hopes that they won't starve to death. God what I wouldn't do for a meal right now," Kaemon thought as his fingers moved on their own in a dance on the strings playing a sweet melody. He stared at the crowd of people, most of them were wealthy merchants who stopped for the day to listen to him, but there were a few orphans sitting on the street listening to him play. He finished the song and was about to get up when he saw someone else walk into the crowd of people. "Strange, most people walk up when I started or when I'm already in the middle of a song," Kaemon thought.

Odori walked up to the young musician with her cloak around her shoulders. She didn't say anything at first, she just stared at him as the wind brushed her face. She threw in a few coins, and said, "Here, you deserve some coins after that song, and it should have come from the crowd, and that is why I robbed a coin from a lot of people to make this pot of coins." She then smiled at him, as he was cute, and she loved music. Odori wanted to get to know the musician a little better, but for him to be her friend, he must know that she is a thief. It would have been too big of surprise later, as Odori had learned with a few people. "Odori," she said introducing herself.

"Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the song," he said cheerfully as he stood up and rested his sitar on his shoulder. He didn't know whether or not he should accept the ill-gotten coins. Ill-gotten coins will buy just as much bread as coins gained legitimately. He finally decided what to do when some of the orphans in the crowd ran up to him. He greeted them and gave them a couple coins. They thanked him and ran off. "I'm sorry Ordori, I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Kaemon," he said as he slung his sitar over his shoulder.

Koinu frowned as she looked at the theif and the musician. He was very good, but still... Stealing from a crowd in order to pay the man? If the people had liked his music, they would have given him the coins themself. Tch. People just didn't listen, and that bothered Koinu.
Beside her stood Gouja, the Ijin Inu who stood, watching the deeds as well. If the thief was half as observant as she should be, then she'd notice that the two were present, though Koinu's other canines were closeby, as always. If not, then she'd be in for a wicked surprise. Unless the musician had some sort of special talent, he wouldn't know that Koinu was there. As a shinobi, it was important for her to retain some animosity.

Mukei had been walking down the street silently, his pale arms hidden in his sleeves as he looked through the crowds at the hundreds, maybe thousands of people that littered the streets of the Kyushu city. Seeing Koinu near a particularily still crowd, Mukei decided to be sociable and talk to her. Boredly wandering over, Mukei looked up from beneath his straw hat.
"Koinu." Mukei stated from above and behind the shinobi. Subtly standing on his tip-toes (so subtly it would be near impossible for anyone to know unless they looked under his robes... and at that point they would have a face full of pain), Mukei tried to see what it was that had captured her attention.

Kaemon shuddered suddenly. "If you'll excuse me. It's time for me to go down to the gardens. There are fewer merchants there so I get more coins. Your welcome to come down and listen," he said smiling to her. He thought he saw something move out of the cornor of his eye. "It was probably a cat or something," he thought as he turned towards the gardens.

Koinu jumped and then turned, though Gouja didn't move at all, just continued watching the thief and the now leaving musician. The shinobi looked up, leaning her head back and looking in the face of her best friend. "Oh... Hello Mukei!" she said, looking back down only to see the musician walking away. She frowned slightly and then looked at the thief. .. I hate thieves, she thought, frowning.

Mukei frowned as he saw someone that looked rather suspicious and, after looking down at Koinu's expression, guessed she was a thief or something of the sort after reflecting on the numerous rants he'd had to endure in the years he'd known her.
"Ah..." Mukei stated silently, now knowing, but still not really caring.

A nagging feeling kept him from leaving. "Why can't I leave?" he thought. He turned back to Odori. "On second thought I have some shopping to do. I think I'll just wait around for a merchant," he said as he sat back down and started playing another song. It was much different then the one he played earlier it was much sadder and slower but required no less skill in order to play it correctly. His face showed his concentration as the tune played out.

Koinu nodded toward the thief and the musician. "That thief stole the people's money and gave it to the musician," Koinu explained to Mukei. "If they would-" Koinu stopped as she felt an invisible head touch her arm, and then Shiromaru appeared. He looked at her for a moment, and then she nodded. The large wolf jumped down from the roof and landed silently next to the musician, deciding to speak to him.
"Hello, musician," he said, his voice deep and easy to comprehend.
((OOC: Shiromaru can talk to any species.))

Mukei smirked as he saw the canine land next to the musician, knowing he would scare the shit out of the musician.... after all, Mukei was a high priest and had jumped when Shiromaru first spoke to him.

Kaemon's one eye was fixated on his sitar because it was an exceptionally difficult piece that required his full attention, so he didn't notice the wolf talk to him. "Hello sir," he said without looking up as he was nearing the end of the piece and didn't want to ruin the whole thing so late in the game.
((OOC: Kaemon only has one eye the other was ripped out during his childhood. I thought that fact could be used for some comedy here.))

Shiromaru sat next to the man, noticing his limited vision. Being as impatient as he was, Shiromaru growled low and snapped his teeth, earning a shoe thrown at him from Koinu. He glanced over at her to see her shaking her head and then looked at Kaemon's sitar. "I'm not exactly what most would refer to as a sir," Shiromaru stated.

"My most sincere apologies, ma'am. I assumed from your gruff voice you were a man," he said as he finished the last few measures of the song. He looked up and saw the wolf he fell over backwards, quickly picked himself up, and held his sitar like a sword. "W...Who are you?" he said shaking as he put his sitar on his back and pulled out his daggers.

Shiromaru smiked slightly though it came out looking slightly awkward due to his being a wolf. "I am a male," he stated, looking as the musician pulled out his daggers. "And I'd suggest putting those away before my sister sees you. She'd gladly slit your throat for threatening me. My name is Shiromaru and I am a wolf," he stated, lying down, reaching head level with the man by doing so. "Calm yourself. I want to talk."
