Renzukan waited for his mistress to close her eyes before he let loose a smile that would rarely be seen by any other. His grin was as sincere as it had ever been as he responded. "You know that all you have to do is ask and I'll take care of anything you need Andra-chan." His voice was suprisingly upbeat now, still clinging to that high that he always got from training with one of his pupils. The wind kicked up his hair just a bit, causing the orange spikes to whip around in all different directions as he considered telling the young woman what was on his mind. He decided against it though; it would probably just compromise his position with her. He just stayed silent, the kind of welcomed silence that wasn't really akward. That was the norm for him when around most people, though he wouldn't have been suprised if the shogun found it a bit odd.

Andra kept her eyes closed and then directed her voice to him. "What is on your mind, Renzukan-san?" she asked softly, keeping her closed gaze to the sky. "You seem a bit distracted today." And he had, at least, in her eyes. She hadn't been expecting him to fall that easily whenever she flipped him. "Tell me as a friend, not as your Shogun, please?" she asked, finally looking at him, not wanting to make it an order. "What is it that plagues you so?"

Renzukan nodded slightly to her question. She did indeed care it seemed, but he wasn't going to be able to explain everything that was wrong. It woud be entirely too bold for him to speak to his mistress like that, even if he was speaking as just her friend and not her servant. "I'm just restless, that's all Andra-chan. I might just need a good run out in the hills." It was the truth, but only half of it. He couldn't tell her everything without compromising his position as her vassal in one way or another.
'C'mon Renny-chan, just tell her. It's not like she's going to have you killed or anything.' It was a fimiliar voice; one that he'd known all his life in fact. He sighed softly, glancing around just to double-check and make sure his cousin wasn't really there. When the scenery was clear of almost any other people, he confirmed it to himself. He was hearing things and that was going to make acting normal around Andra even harder.

Andra looked over at him, crimson eyes watching him for just a few moments. She didn't honestly buy it, but she could let it slide for now. "Maybe you should take one of the horses. They could do with a good excercise as well," she said softly. She wanted to know why he couldn't tell her what was really wrong with him. She knew it was something besides him being restless, but she didn't know what. What good was being a spy if you didn't know what was going on with your own people?

"Hai. Maybe I will." He knew that she would not enjoy that he was hiding things from her, but it couldn't be helped. He wandered over to his katana, sliding it back in between his obi and his gi. "Would you care to join me? I'm not sure if you have duties that you need to attend to later on, but I'd love the company if you're willing." This would be a good opportunity to get to know his shogun counter-part a bit better. He'd known her for some time now, been her teacher for just as long, but there was always more to learn about her and Renzukan was eager to do so. Besides, if she were attacked while he was out on the hillside somewhere just screwing around, he would probably have to kill himself.

Andra blinked and turned her gaze back to him. "It couldn't hurt," she said after a moment with a nod of her head. "Unfortunately, I cannot ride in this kimono, so you'd have to give me enough time to change," she said, smiling. She'd use that time to find out what it was that he wasn't telling her. "Maybe we can have a picnic as well," she mused, leaning back once again.

"But of course. You may take as long as you wish. I'll have to saddle the horses anyway and that will take a few minutes. I'll meet you at the main gates when you're done." He smiled and waved, jogging off at a decent pace toward the shogun's stables, not even giving her time to reply before he was gone. He'd have the horses saddled and ready to be ridden by the time she changed.

Andra had been about to reply, but was stopped by his running off. She smiled and then stood up, going into the castle and then getting changed.
The shogun seemed to merely appear by the main gates whenever she was done, her comforting scent strong as ever. She smiled at him. She was now wearing a pair of loose pants that fanned out, similiar to basic samurai pants, and a similiar shirt, both in a silver color. "Ready?" she asked him, crimson eyes watching him. Her raven hair was now in a ponytail that had been folded under to make her abnormally long hair easier to handle with the horses.

Renzukan smiled, taking in her appearance once again. She looked just as regal as ever, even in such simple attire. He offered her the reins of a horse, keeping the other beast close by him, patting the side of his neck. "That a boy, nice and easy." he said, anticipating the first living creature they'd see as soon as they were ten feet out of Kyoto. Kinshou. The four-legged mass of fur and muscle was quite the frightening sight to those that didn't know him. After all, he was probably the only Kodiak bear in this part of the world and he was definitely growing up to be a Kodiak bear. If he stood on his hind legs he might have reached a solid nine feet tall. On all fours he was still taller than most men that Renzukan had come across. He continued to try and soothe the horse as he looked back to his mistress. "Ready when you are Kinimou-sama." He had used her proper name on purpose, playing to the crowd and letting them know that he knew his place in society, even if she wouldn't acknowledge that fact. He'd probably catch hell for using that name instead of her kinder, more personal name, but he was doing as he'd been taught and showing the proper respects in public to his mistress.

Andra nodded as he spoke, taking the reins and easily swinging into the saddle. She smiled at him, deciding to allow him to keep up appearances while in public. She couldn't blame him. If he slipped in public, too many things could happen. She had no idea what to expect whenever the exited the palace, but she was more or less ready for anything. She directed her horse over to his and placed a gentle hand on the creature's nose. "Shhh... Everything will be okay," she whispered the the creature, watching as it calmed down. She looked back at Renzukan and smiled. "Lead the way."

"Cha!" the samurai shouted as the reins cracked and his feet dug into his mount's sides. It neyed and lifted both of his front hooves off of the ground before lurching forward and taking off in a gallop. Renzukan glance dover his shoulder to make sure that his charge was following and to watch as the bear that had been waiting patiently outside of the city for his next appearance lunge forward and gallop after them. Kinshou was a peculiar creature and Renzukan felt at ease when he was around. Seriously; who was going to screw around with a swordsman backed up by a bear? He didn't know many people that stupid.

Andra gently tapped her horses' sides after Renkuzan took off, and the stallion galloped forward, knowing what Andra wanted. The shogun was not too far away from Renkuzan, and it would stay that way. She knew that being too far away from him made him nervous and worry, and she didn't know where he was headed anyway. She was curious as to what his horse had been so nervous about, but she was sure she would find out soon. Her own stallion was beginning to get antsy, wanting to turn away, though Andra wouldn't let him.

The large brown bear stayed hidden in the brush as they traveled toward the hillsides that Renzukan had planned on visiting. With the bear following them in a rather close tote, it was no wonder that he horses were having trouble relaxing, but it was alright. They'd deal with it and as long as Kinshou didn't leap from the bushes and surprise everyone so dramatically, everything would be okay. The clang of an uncomfortably placed katana distracted the Yagyu man as they rode, prompting him to draw the sword, still in saya, from his belt and strap it to the horse; an interesting sight as he kept riding.

Andra failed to notice the bear, but noticed, still, that her stallion was nervous. She also noticed that Renzukan's horse was acting up. The shogun frowned slightly and watched as the samurai moved his katana. "Renzkuan-san? Do you know why the horses are nervous?" she asked after urging the stallion to pull up beside the samurai. Her crimson gaze remained curious, for that was all she was.

"They can probably smell our stalker. It's no need to worry though. Once we get to where we're going we'll settle them down." Renzukan's reply was given as he glanced at her, smiling. He hadn't introduced the shogun to his Kodiak counter-part. Kinshou was still following and he was doing so in a rather unnecessarily stealthy way. He was pretty agile and extremely light-footed for a bear of his weight. In another moment or two they would come upon one of Renzukan's favorite spots away from the city. It was a clear hillside, covered in three or four different colors from the wildflowers that grew on it. "Ah. Here we are Andra-chan." he said, pulling gently back on the reins to let his steed know it was time to stop running. As the horse's trot came to a halt, Renzukan dismounted, swinging his left leg over and dropping to the ground, reins still in hand. 'I really hope he's not too excitable today...' The samurai's mind was on the bear momentarily, hoping that the beast was not going to cause too much trouble with the horses. He smiled again, eyes closed and nostrils flared as he inhaled deeply. "So what do you think?" he asked the shogun.
