The Falcon made a nest in the roof of Musha's home. At first, the bird of prey would swoop at him, and one day Musha was nipped. When he looked at the cut, it began to turn purple and he became very ill. Turns out the Falcon had some sort of toxic saliva. After many days of trying to coax it out of the nest, Musha became friends with him.
History:
Musha grew up in Yoshinogawa, in a small two bedroom house. His father was a fisherman and his mother a fish monger. His family dealt with fish, a lot. He helped out his father on his boat until he was nine. That's when tradgedy struck.
The family was out on their fishing boat, when a storm blew in. It wasn't too bad, but the winds were gusting occasionally. Eventually the wind blew a large gust, rocking the boat and knocking over a lantern down below. Before tey could get down and put out the fire, it spread.
His mother died in her sleep, down in the cabin and his father died trying to get her out. Musha heard his father's last words, "Get in the life raft!" before the fire consumed the doorway. Crying, Musha dived into the little boat, sobbing as the current eventually drew him into shore. A fisherman picked up his boat half a mile from port and brought the nine year old Musha to town.
Setting him up with a small shack and some money, the fisherman did all he could. He was moving to China, and could not stay. Musha grew to be twelve, fending for himself with farmwork and fisherman aid, doing his best to get money for food. In his free time he began practicing swordsmanship. Musha would practice with a wooden sword on three straw dummies. Sometimes he'd spar with the local dojo-goers and over the years he became rather skilled with a sword. Eventually, after harsh traning, he became the Samurai he is today.
RP Sample:
Yokaze Musha, Samurai of Shikoku. It had a nice ring to it, didn't it? He was wandering Yoshinogawa, robed garb covering him. Musha was a newly promoted Samurai of Shikoku. His parents would be proud.
All those years spent training alone, grubbing for food. They all payed off. Until he had duty, he decided to take a stroll. The wind gracefully blew his hair around as Musha admired the Sakura trees. Oh how wonderful it was outside that day. Musha was proud of himself, he had high goals for the future.
"I'm a leaf on the wind, watch how I soar." Musha spoke out loud in a quiet, gentle voice. From that day on, that single phrase was his way of life.
