Renzukan shrugged lightly. "How 'bout I teach you how to ride a bear?" Kinshou's ears folded back, the idea of carrying them both was not very pleasing. He had no problem running at full speed with 150 pounds or less on his bac, but if both of them were going to be there, he'd probably have a bit of difficulty. The Yagyu samurai patted the bear's neck. "Relax pal, I don't intend for both of us to ride you at the same time. It'll just be her and she's lighter than I am anyway." Relief spread through the Kodiak's body, his muscles rippling beneath the heavy layers of fur and skin. Immediately, the quadruped darted forward, tucking his head down in an attempt to scoop his new mistress up and onto his back before running off.

Andra had watched him whenever he pulled himself onto the bear, so she had an idea of how to do it, so she moved to straddle him whenever he darted forward and then smiled. He was so soft, and it was much easier than riding a horse. She laughed and held on with her knees, tight enough to keep herself on, but loose enough so that she wouldn't hurt him.
It seemed that Andra was reverting into a more childlike state. She seemed more carefree, allowing herself to be carried away from the weight of her responsibilities momentairily while she enjoyed her time with Renzukan and Kinshou.

As soon as Kinshou had lifted his mistress, Renzukan had realized what a bad idea this could have turned out to be. The Kodiak was by no means small or lean in body type, but he could outrun most animals in the wild once he got going, and that meant that he was going to have no issues outrunning Renzukan. This presented a pair of problems for the Yagyu samurai. First of those problems would be his charge's safety. If she were a few hundred yards ahead and got attacked, it would not be easy for the samurai to reach her and the bear in time to protect them. Second; Renzukan was left without a competent mount on which to follow them. The horses were wonderful creatures, but they were afraid of the Kodiak, and who could blame them. Had they not been Renzukan and Andra's steeds, Kinshou probably would have eaten one of them. So the samurai darted off, chasing after his brother, Kinshou, and his mistress, Andra.

Andra laughed, her eyes closed as she eased into a more childlike mode, the worries that accompanied her guardian not anywhere in the crevices of her mind. The only thing on her mind was how much fun it was. She leaned down and hugged Kinshou with a smile as she realized what Renzukan had about Kinshou's speed. "As much fun as it would be, let's not leave Renzukan behind, okay?" she teased, kissing behind his ear. "You're absolutely wonderful. You come live with me and I'll spoil you," she told him, talking just to talk now.

The bear let out a content growl as she kissed behind his ear. 'But Renzukan-san can keep up. He just has to run the right way.' The bear's thoughts would not be answered by anyone as his brother was about twenty meters back now and the woman riding him didn't know how to communicate right for some reason, and even if she had know how, she wasn't facing him anyway. The bear slowed, reluctantly, so that his brother could catch up eventually, but he made sure to let Renzukan know who was in control of their pace, occasionally speeding up and putting another meter or two between them as he neared.
Renzukan sighed heavily as he chased the bear and his mistress. Kinshou was always trouble, but now that he'd introduced the brown bear to his mistress, the one that he had sworn to protect with his own life, he was going to be even more trouble; making sure that every opportunity to create a nervous wreck out of the samurai was taken. "Kinshou; try and keep it tame for now. At least until Andra-chan gets used to riding you. You're a bit different than most mounts that she's ridden, I'm sure." His words went ignored by the bear so he turned his attention back to his mistress as he walked along side the two of them. "Are you alright m'lady?" he asked, his voice filled with genuine concern.

Andra laughed and hugged the bear, responding almost as if she could understand him. She turned to Renzukan and smiled. "Oh, it was fine," she said, hopping off of the bear with ease. She walked alongside Renzukan and smacked him gently upside the back of his head with his last words, putting her hands on her hips and narrowing her eyes, looking every bit like the Shogun she was.
"I told you, call me Andra. No formalities unless we're in front of the general public... And I'll make that an order if I have to, Renzukan-san," she said, frowning. She liked him, but she couldn't stand the formalities. Her eyes lightened and she smiled, moving her hands. "And I'm perfectly fine," she said, glancing at him. "Why? Couldn't keep up?" Her voice was teasing now and she took off. She wasn't running too fast, but she could easily up the speed thanks to her training. She wondered if Kinshou would run with her, or if Renzukan would even follow.

Renzukan turned to glare at Kinshou as she took off. The bear stared him back in the eye and bared a few of his teeth in a smile as Renzukan grinned. 'Ready?' Renzukan asked. His question was met with an energetic, 'This will be fun!' from his brother, the bear. With an understanding between the two of them, Renzukan took off after Andra, wanting to play this game of chase as much as she seemed to. Kinshou trotted lazily behind, being sure to keep a few paces to the rear and left of Renzukan. "You know you can't outrun us, right Andra-chan?" His grin only widened as he drew a bit nearer. She could, in fact, probably outrun him for a distance, but he would eventually catch up when she got tired and he had a secret weapon to keep up with her no matter what.

Andra eyes glittered. He hadn't seen her when she was training with her previous teachers, so this was going to be fun. "Oh... We'll see," she stated. She sped up just a bit, still wondering if she could outrun Kinshou. Outrunning Renzukan shouldn't be too much of a problem, but it was Kinshou she was curious about. Oh well. She'd figure it out when the time came.

Renzukan's grin faded as he came to a screeching halt, dust kicked up by his sudden stop. As Kinshou ran past him, he grabbed a tuff of the bear's fur, pulling himself onto the larger-than life teddy. Learning forward, his legs hanging down on either side of the beast's massive body, Renzukan whispered. "Let's let her think she can outrun you for a bit. If she tires herself out running around, she'll be easier to keep track of later." The bear let a soft rumble escape his chest to acknowledge the instructions and inform Renzukan of his apparent compliance. Kinshou sped up just enough to loose about a meter or so of ground for every ten meters that they travelled, grinning his bear grin the entire time.

Something was up, Andra felt it. She turned her head over her shoulder and glanced and realized they werent moving as fast as they had been. She frowned slightly and then took advantage of her previous training; she disappeared. In truth, she was simply sitting on a tree branch, her feet dangling down, but she wasn't where she had been. She waited, wondering how long it would take them to realize she was gone. Chances were, Kinshou would find her first thanks to his nose, but Renzukan probably wouldn't have any idea. A smile crossed her face; her guardian had surprised her before.

Renzukan grinned as she disappeared. Regardless of how uneasy he was without her in sight, he knew that she was plotting something and that she was fine. The samurai dismounted the bear whil he was still galloping along, hitting the ground in a quick run to keep up with the beast. They reached the point at Which Andra had disappeared from and now they would start their search. Staring into Kinshou's eyes, he knew that the woman was still relatively close by, but not exactly where.
"Alright bud; you start over there," he gestured to the south a little ways, "and I'll start there." motioning toward the west. The kodiak trotted off lazily, not in any large hurry to start sniffing around. Renzukan wandered into the woods a bit further, disappearing behind a tree trunk. 'Stupid humans. So much work to keep track of them. Shouldn't be too hard to find her though; she has such a nice smell.'

Andra watched as Renzukan went towards the forest. Andra then decided her sight should be centered on the bear. She giggled and then jumped down from the tree, landing silently on her feet. She then moved to lay in the flowers, which masked her scent from the bear. She was debating on whether or not to use her ability to run over to him, but the flowers were much more comfortable anyway. Slowly, the Shogun's eyes began to drift closed, and she slept, raven hair spred out slightly around her head, but hidden underneath the flowers.

After several minutes of searching from both parties, Renzukan returned to Kinshou's side. 'Anything?' he'd ask the bear with just a glance. With a shake of his entire body Kinshou responded. "Couldn't even follow the scent, ey? And I would have though that she would stick out for you?" Another shake denied the claim. "But you did try following her scent?" The bear didn't move, didn't shake to loosen dirt from his fur, he just sat down and stared at his human counterpart. 'Of course I tried. She was up there at one point, but I lost her scent once she hit the ground over there.' "You dumb mutt." The Yagyu replied, sighing heavily. "Over there, right?" Pointing to the patch of flowers, Renzukan headed towards it. "It didn't occur to you that she might be laying in something to hide her scent?" The bear gave n reply simply walking next to his human brother. The two sat down on opposing sides of her, waiting for her to wake up. Kinshou scooted closer, lowering his nose and getting ready to nudge her awake. "Leave her be Kinshou." Slowly and sourly, the bear sat back up.

Andra felt something come close to her, then heard something, but nothing registered in her mind. At least, not for a moment. Then she realized that she was lying on something that was rather uncomfortable, so the Shogun shifted her position, rolling over toward Renzukan. Her hand gently touched his leg, then stayed there for a moment. Somewhere in the Shogun's mind, she registered that she was in a field of flowers and this felt rather out of place.
Andra's eyes shot open, and in the same instant, she was on her feet. She shook her head after a moment and then looked at Kinshou and Renzukan with a small grin. "Oops," she stated sheepishly.

Renzukan chuckeled lightly as she stood. His mistress seemed a bit out of it after her short nap and the samurai was thoroughly entertained by that for some reason. He would not mention the gentle touch to his leg that she'd given, though he would certainly be thinking about it later on. "Andra-chan; if you're sleepy, there is a very small village near by that we could find an inn at. They have wonderful food there as well, regardless of how scarce it is."
